1. Platform Purpose
Hooped is a platform that enables Specialist Contractors to:
- Post job opportunities and resource their projects
- Manage time & attendance (T&A) of Operatives on-site
- Use geofencing and location-based services to monitor attendance and compliance
Operatives use the platform to:
- Find and accept jobs
- Sign in/out of site geofences to track working time
We provide the infrastructure only and do not provide or manage the services delivered by Operatives.
2. Key Functional Terms
Geofencing & Location: Clients define geofences around their sites. Operatives must be within this boundary to sign in. When signed in, background location tracking starts. Leaving the zone results in automatic sign-out. Tracking ends when the Operative signs out, disables location permissions, or logs out. Motion data is used only to assist background updates.
Visibility: Only the Client managing the signed-in job can view Operative location, and only while the Operative is signed in.
Tracking & Compliance: Sign-in records are retained for compliance and cannot be deleted upon request.
3. Access & Subscriptions
Clients must create an account and choose one of the available Access Packages (Monthly or Subscription-based) to:
- Post jobs
- View Operative profiles and contact details
- Manage attendance and payments
Prices and features of each package are shown on the Platform and may change with notice.
Subscription renewals occur monthly unless cancelled. Cancelled plans remain active until the end of the paid period.
4. Operative Engagements
Operatives are independent, self-employed individuals. Any agreement to perform work (a "Work Agreement") is between the Client and Operative directly. Hooped is not a party to the contract.
Clients may choose to:
- Engage Operatives directly, or
- Manage jobs through the Platform, which enables geofence check-in, T&A tracking, in-app messaging, and optional payment features
5. Payments
Hooped does not handle or hold payments. Responsibility lies with Clients and Operatives to ensure correct payment and account details.
We are not liable for missed, delayed, or disputed payments.
6. Refund Policy
You may cancel an Access Package for a full refund within 14 days unless you have used any features (e.g., contacted an Operative, posted a job, made an offer). Refunds for Operative payments must be arranged directly with the Operative.
7. Operative Terms
Operatives must:
- Be over 18
- Be legally entitled to work in the UK
- Maintain accurate profiles
Operatives agree to:
- Only engage with Clients via the Platform
- Handle all invoices and taxes independently
- Acknowledge they are not employees or agents of Hooped
8. Liability Disclaimer
Hooped is not liable for:
- The performance or conduct of Clients or Operatives
- Errors in location tracking, geofence enforcement, or payment delays
- Any damage, loss, or claim arising from work engagements
Our liability is limited to £500 in total.
9. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, branding, code, and materials are owned by Hooped. You may not copy, reuse, or alter the Platform without written consent.
10. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or cancel access for:
- Breach of these Terms
- Non-payment
- Inappropriate conduct
- Fraud or unlawful use of the Platform
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect:
- New features or service updates
- Legal or regulatory changes
- Business restructuring
We will notify Clients in advance of material changes. Continued use of the Platform confirms acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.
